Fishing in Stuart Florida
Sailfish Marina Looks Great. Long Time Com’n sets sail for Start, Florida, in early November, and Captain Dan is ready to catch sailfish with all his clients. What’s really great about fishing out of Stuart is the fact that we’ll be fishing within sight of land, only 3 to 10 miles. No more long, long boat rides.
All the captains report that the sailfish bite is again a great one. But there’s even more to catch. We will also wrangle with dolphins (the mahi-mahi kind), black fin tune, wahoo, and King mackerel. We’ll be using light deep sea tackle, 25s and 30s. And it would be really exciting to get a sailfish on spinning tackle. Now, that’s fun!!
You couldn’t ask for prettier water. Salifish Marina sits up in Manatee Pocket, with a beautiful waterfront park on one side and great restaurants and music within easy walking distance. Folks who fish out of Sailfish are friendly and ready with the latest tips on where the bite is. We can clean your catch at the marina and send you on your way happy. In fact, you could even have one of the restaurants fix your catch for you that night. It doesn’t get any better than that.
And if you’re coming from out of town—and I hope lots of our Virginia Beach and Solomon’s Island clients will come down—there are all the usual hotels in the area. West Palm is the closest airport; Spirit has good flight deals coming into Fort Lauderdale, too. So, let’s have a winter adventure at sea together in Florida. We’ll be back with a report on our journey down the coast soon. |
