Long Time Com'n anglers caught trophy stripers during the opening week of the season. Sharon's party of six caught four, with the largest measuring 37 inches. It was a great day at sea for this family, who have fished with Captain Dan McClarren before.
Mike's party of six brought home 6 fish, and one of these trophy stripers was 47.5 inches--a horse! We had great weather, and the bite was on for these repeat clients of Long Time Com'n.
Andrew and his three friends took home three fish, with one coming in at 44 inches. These clients returned to fish with us near Hooper's Island light.
John and his son flew up from Atlanta for two days of fishing. And the fish cooperated, with the largest fish measuring 45 inches.
We like fishing out of Solomon's Calvert Marina for trophy stripers in Maryland. Kelly is new to our crew and is mating for us as many days as his career as a Washington, D.C., firefighter will allow. |
