Henry booked Long Time Com'n after a successful trip earlier in the month and took his father and his son our for a cold day of winter striper fishing in Virginia Beach. They were looking for meat fish to take back to the dock, but most of the fish had moved off-shore for the day. We could have easily followed them and caught plenty, but out there it's catch and release only, and that's not what this party wanted to do. They were determined to take fish home, and they did.
We brought two nice large Virginia Beach rockfish back to the dock, one 46 inches long and another 42 inches. We went way south in calm waters to find them. That will keep them in fillets for awhile. The fish will be back in-shore, and we'll be ready to get 'em and bring them back for supper. It was good to end 2009 Virginia Beach striper fishing season with a satisfied repeat customer. We want to thank all our clients who fished with us this year, and we look forward to taking you all out with us in 2010. And we appreciate you telling your friends about us. Happy New Year to all! |
