Virginia Beach Fishing Report, Deep Sea Fishing Off Virginia Beach

While Long Time Com'n fished closer to shore most days in July, we've also been tangling with blue marlin and catching dolphin (mahi-mahi) off shore. Lots of folks have enjoyed trolling for Spanish mackeral and blue fish along the beach, and when it's calm we've fished for spade fish at the tower. Now that's like catching bluegills on steroids. They look like overgrown angel fish and really put up a good fight! Lots of fun.

And we've been going shark fishing, using lighter tackle so it's really a good experience. We've caught and released some pretty black tip shark near shore.

Captain Dan has several kinds of fishing he can offer, depending on the weather and what has been bighting. If you're coming to Virginia Beach for vacation this summer, get off the sand for a day and go fishing.
